Cracker, sometimes white cracker or cracka, is a term for white people, used especially for poor rural whites in the Southern United States. It has been taken as an offensive and derogatory term to people of Caucasian or European descent and is largely considered a slur in modern usage. By the end of the decade, Cracker seemed to have settled on a somewhat permanent lineup comprised of drummer Frank Funaro, keyboardist/accordion player Kenny Margolis, and the preexisting core of Lowery, Hickman, and Rupe. SCJ’S references are easy to draw, from a beefed-up Beatles or punked-out Kinks to those who took that sound forward including Robyn Hitchcock, Julian Cope, XTC, Anton Barbeau, and many more. What you will find once the needle hits the wax is effortless grooves and lush harmonies along with a relentless drive of clattering and cool backbeats and attitude. Energy meets euphoria in a two and half minute sonic workout.

about
This is the second in a series of albums that are autobiographical. This mostly covers the period 1989 to 1996. I do this not so much to tell my story but also tell the stories of others who have shared their lives with me. This is a limited edition of 1,000 CDs. Please do not make copies or upload to SoundCloud, YouTube, etc. Think small. Ubiquity is overrated.
