After losing the service manual for my engine, then getting some help from people on this board (THANKS!), I did some 'digging around' and found .PDF versions of Yamaha outboards from 1995-2006. For now, I have uploaded them all into a Google Documents account, so if you want to download any of them, or look at them online, feel free. They are .PDF files.
Once I found mine, I promptly sent it to Fedex Kinkos online and get a spiral bound printed version.

Yamaha docs (http://www.yamahapubs.com/index.do) says that the LIT-18616-01-83 manual covers the T9.9 engines from 1998 through 2006. If this information is not accurate, please correct me.
